Enhanced Magik Area
Duration: 5 minutes
Range: 10’ radius, maximum (cannot be enhanced beyond 10’)
Marker: roll of string, marking ribbon, etc., and a strip of red cloth
Special: costs two CP when cast
Description: After the spell is cast, the caster must visibly attach a strip of red cloth to the boundary marker to indicate that the spell is active. This spell creates area of enhanced magik.
Drawing from the power of the area, all casters within the radius may cast spells as if they're in contact with a mage casting magical enhancement. Casters may choose to double one characteristic of any spell they cast while inside the area. The increase can be applied to the range, area of effect, duration, or amount of damage. Each spell is enhanced only once by the power of the area.
The effects of a magikal item or a scroll will also be enhanced by this area.
The spell magikal enhancement is not enhanced by the power of the area.
Spells cast outside the radius are not enhanced if the Target is inside the area.
While inside the area, the regaining of Casting Points will happen at twice the normal rate; or 2 CP per five minutes of concentrating on a focus.
A void magik area cast around an enhanced magik area will cancel this spell
An enhanced magik area cast around a void magik area will cancel the void magik spell.
